Our Environmental, Social, Governance, and Technology (ESGT) strategy outlines our targets and the comprehensive actions we plan to undertake to achieve them.

ESGT is he core of our culture and team, and the foundation of our business and service. To achieve our strategic goals, every aspect in our business is prioritised. From the well being of our colleagues, to the product and service we supply, to customer satisfaction in all aspects. ESGT plays a pivotal role in driving our decision making at all levels.

Energy Efficiency: We strive to minimise energy consumption and reduce our carbon footprint by implementing energy-efficient practices in our warehouses, distribution centres, and transportation fleet. Demonstrated with the sales team fleet moving over to Hybrid cars, introducing a paperless office and investing in routing software to ensure deliveries are efficient. Waste Reduction: We are committed to reducing waste generation and promoting recycling initiatives across our operations. Demonstrated by using only recycled cardboard cartons, non-plastic tape and recycling all waste cardboard and wood which is equivalent to saving 500 trees per year. Natural Resource Conservation: We prioritise sourcing products from suppliers who adhere to sustainable sourcing practices. Achieved by working closely with key suppliers in each product area who are industry leaders in Sustainability. Essity, ranked one of the world’s most sustainable companies, Metsa Group uses 100% renewable wood from sustainably managed forests. Lucart Econatural is 100% circular and produce paper and dispensing systems from recycled beverage cartons.

Employee Well-being: We prioritise the health, safety, and well-being of our employees. This involves providing a strong Health and safety policy, individual personal support for all staff, well being support via in-house HR resource. Also including everyday conditions with, staff canteen facility and warehouse heating. We foster a culture of teamwork and recently added extra 3 days holiday for all staff. Community Engagement: We actively engage with the communities in which we operate, seeking opportunities to contribute positively through philanthropic initiatives, volunteering efforts, and partnerships with local organizations. We work with a selection of local and national charities, via Gordons Browns ‘Partnership to end poverty’ Supply Chain Ethics: We hold our suppliers to high ethical standards and expect them to adhere to fair labour practices, human rights principles, and responsible sourcing policies. We conduct regular assessments of our supply chain to ensure compliance with these standards and take corrective action where necessary.

Incorporating Innovations: Incorporating innovations in all areas across the business. Hand held scanners throughout our warehouse has increased accuracy and efficiency. Routing for delivery efficiency and CRM for data collection. Technical Change: Embracing technological change for the benefit of all. Customers and employees with mobile information, cashless van deliveries, web ordering and internally with data on screens in the warehouse, new handling techniques giving reduced pressure on staff. Data Protection: Responsibility for data protection with our new security package from ITPS, including firewalls and 2 step log on procedures.
