Facts On Polystyrene

Reusable Drinkware

Only polystyrene that has been through a foaming process is in the scope of this ban. Foaming is a method of expansion of the material at any point during its manufacture, by any means (such as heat from steam, expansion during cooling), using any blowing agent (such as butane, pentane, propane).

Our Econ reusable drinkware is not made from these products, this means no plastic tax!

From the manufacturer.

This material is Food & Drug approved and conforms to the Materials and Articles in Contact with Food (England) Regulations 2012, including (EU) No 10/2011. It has good clarity but may break if dropped onto a hard surface or stood on. All things considered, we have tested the products in glass-washers with a standard solution in excess of 100 cycles with no noticeable visual detraction.
