PE and PLA Lined Coffee Cups

Our bespoke paper coffee cups are available with PE or PLA linings, allowing you to choose an option that suits your requirements.

PE lined cups use a traditional polyethylene coating bonded to the paperboard. They are durable and suitable for very hot drinks, including coffee and tea.

PLA lined cups use a plant-based bioplastic typically made using renewable materials such as corn or sugarcane starch. They are suitable for standard hot coffee and tea and are certified compostable.

How Does Bespoke Coffee Cup Printing Work?

To get started, we’ll need the original artwork for your proposed design rather than a photograph of a logo, image or existing printed item.

Pantone references will also be required for printed colours to help achieve the correct finish.

Once your artwork has been submitted, a PDF sample will usually be produced within 7–10 days. Please note that this is a digital PDF proof rather than a physically printed sample cup.

Once you have checked, approved and signed off the proof, production typically takes a further 3-4 weeks.

Customers are responsible for checking and approving all spelling, grammar, logos and other design elements before production. You must also ensure you have the necessary rights, licences and permissions to use all artwork supplied.
